Tainá Hanno

Inclusive Pedagogy Specialist

As the Inclusive Pedagogy Specialist, Tainá Hanno is part of the Open and Inclusive Education Team and supports the ongoing efforts to ensure equitable opportunities for all students at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. She primarily focuses her efforts on providing guidance, coaching, and technical support to instructors, educational support staff, and teaching assistants who are seeking to improve the accessibility and inclusivity of their instructional practices, materials, and assessments used within in person, hybrid, and at times, online courses.   


Tainá has a diverse background in education with most of her time spent as an instructor as an EFL and ESL teacher. Tainá also has significant experience with project management practices and is familiar with many authoring tools, learning management systems, and instructional design models and approaches. She holds a master’s in applied linguists with an emphasis on TESOL as well as a master’s in learning design and technology.   


Currently, Tainá is a doctoral student at the University of Florida curriculum and instruction EdD program (offered online). While her research interests are ever evolving, currently she is primarily focusing her research on online learning environments, students' motivation and engagement in hybrid or online learning contexts, instructional design, faculty development, UDL, web accessibility, ed tech-driven curriculum in higher ed, cognitive load, microlearning, and learning analytics.
